John Preston Eubanks

TALLULAH — John P. Eubanks, 72, died Monday, April 13, 2009. He was a retired far- implement salesman and a member of First Baptist Church in Tallulah. John was an avid LSU fan, had a love of all high school sports and was a graduate of Lake Providence High School in 1956.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Alice Marsh Eubanks; two daughters, Karen Pennington and husband Don of Newellton and Tracee Walker and husband Chip of Tallulah; two sons, Fred Eubanks and wife Darlene of Pioneer, La., and Mike Eubanks and wife Julie of Vicksburg; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Duty of Largo, Fla., Glenda Fowler of Melbourne, Fla., and Elnita Lilly of St. Joseph, La.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John S. and Cleo Eubanks; sister, Carrie; and grandson, Chip Morgan.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Tomlinson, Tyler Walker, Wade Walker, Walker Head, Chad Gossett, Todd Windham, Charles Michael Finlayson and Keith Post.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Kimball, George Navarro, Buddy Fairchild, John Carpenter, Joe Gossett, Jack Folk, Mack Hazlip and Jack Head.
Visitation will be at First Baptist Church tonight from 5 until 8. Services will be held at First Baptist Church in Tallulah at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Tallulah and Tallulah Academy.
