A pair of separate residential fires in Warren County damaged two homes Monday, but resulted in no injuries.

Culkin, Fisher Ferry and LeTourneau Volunteer Fire Departments responded to a fire at 7 Shadow Wood Drive at 5:03 p.m., and had it quickly contained to the living room and kitchen, said Warren County Volunteer Fire Departments Coordinator Kelly Worthy.

Owner Scott Christian was not home when the fire broke out and the cause is still under investigation, said Worthy. The entire home had smoke damage, along with the fire damage in the kitchen and living room.

Culkin and Bovina volunteer departments responded at about 10:12 p.m. to a house fire at 4810 U.S. 80.

Jerry Briggs, Culkin Volunteer Fire Department assistant chief, said about 50 percent of the home was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. No one was home, and the name of the owner was not known.

Briggs said firefighters had the blaze under control in about 30 minutes and remained there for about an hour and a half. The home was “extensively damaged,” said Briggs.
