An account has been opened at Guaranty Bank and Trust for the family of Bruice L. Chambers, the man who drowned in the Yazoo Diversion Canal Friday afternoon.

Donations can be made into the benefit account at both branches located at 1900 Cherry St. and 3430 Halls Ferry Road.

The funds will go to help with funeral services.

Chambers, a mechanic who was 45, died Friday after his car rolled down the embankment at the City Front and into the Yazoo Diversion Canal.

The benefit account will be closed after Chambers’ funeral service.
