A second suspect has been arrested in a March 31 attempt to pass a forged prescription at Vicksburg pharmacy.

Rickey Ellis, 33, 1040 Moore Road, Port Gibson, was arrested at his home Thursday afternoon by Claiborne County sheriff’s deputies on a warrant and was brought to Vicksburg, where he was charged, said police Lt. Bobby Stewart.

Ellis and Johnny Yarborough, 60, 121 Martin Luther King Ave. — who was arrested March 31 by Vicksburg police — are accused of altering the quantity of a prescription for the painkiller Lorcet that had been given to Yarborough by a physician, said Stewart. The attempt to fill the prescription was made at Battlefield Discount Drugs, 3040-A Indiana Ave.
