United Way volunteers Lenora Cooks, left, and Rebecca Hughes paint a wall at Good Shepherd Community Center on Cherry Street as part of the United Way’s Day of Caring on Thursday. More than 165 volunteers participated in the 13th annual event by going around Vicksburg and performing community service projects. Cooks and Hughes were representing Wal-Mart SuperCenter.
