Mildred Alma Bailey Pettway died Friday, April 24, 2009, at River Region West Campus. She was 80.

Mrs. Pettway was born in Epps, La., and had lived in Vicksburg most of her life. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, James M. Bailey and John Pettway Sr.

Survivors include one son, Jerry M. Bailey of Vicksburg; one daughter, Margie Bailey Fuson of Vicksburg; a sister, Nettie McGrew of Columbia; five grandchildren, Matthew Bailey and Tabitha Fuson, both of Vicksburg, Christopher Fuson of Oak Ridge, Tenn., Daniel Fuson of Beaufort, S.C., and Claire Bordelon of Lettsworth, La.; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Malcolm Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Fuson, Ronnie Harvey, Matthew Bailey, Mark McCann, Daniel Fuson and Frankie Kowen.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Lara Clement and Shirley Henry.
