R. Dean Hubbard

IUKA — R. Dean Hubbard died Friday, April 24, 2009, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. He was 80.

Mr. Hubbard was a sales manager at WHSY Radio in Hattiesburg, and the author of “Letter to Israel: God’s Countdown for Mankind.” He was a member of Temple Baptist Church, East Campus, and the Tom Walker Coffee Group. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Hubbard was preceded in death by his first wife, Jo Ann Solomon Hubbard.

Survivors include his wife, Merle Coats of Hattiesburg; two sons, Dean Hubbard Jr. of Baton Rouge and Nik Hubbard of Raleigh, N.C.; two daughters, Glenice Wilson of Vicksburg and Carlene Anderson of DeFuniak Springs, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Chapel in Hattiesburg with burial at 4:30 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Iuka. Visitation is from 4:30 to 6:30 this evening.
