Services for Carolina “Corine” Virginia Moore of Vicksburg will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be noon until 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the family being present from 5 until 6.

Mrs. Moore died Friday, April 24, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. She was 82. She was a private care-giver and a member of New Mount Pilgrim M.B. Church where she served on the mother board.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Janie Blake and John Whetsell; grandparents, Amelia Lymas and John Whetsell Sr.; a brother, Lawrence Blake; a daughter, Alberta Smith; a stepson, John Moore; and a granddaughter, Victoria Moore.

Survivors include a daughter, Cora L. Dodd of Vicksburg; four sons, Richard Savage, Lewis Moore, and Leroy Hardin, all of Vicksburg, and William Moore of Aurora, Ill.; two sisters, Prince Ella Whetsell Bunch of Ladson, S.C., and Margaret Whetsell Williams of Sommerville, S.C.; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
