LAKE JACKSON, Texas — Dennis Scott Sitton, 28, of Lake Jackson, Texas, died suddenly on Thursday, April 23, 2009.

Scotty, as he was known to his family, took great joy in the life of his son, Avery, and had a passion for writing. Scotty attended Bastrop Bayou Baptist Church. His family takes comfort in knowing Scotty is at peace with his savior Jesus Christ.

He leaves behind his 22-month-old son, Avery of San Antonio, Texas; father and stepmother, Scott and Jennifer Sitton of Bryan, Texas; mother and stepfather, Tracy and David Noland of Sugar Land, Texas; sisters, Mallory and Emily Sitton; brother, Zachary Sitton; stepbrother and stepsister, Andrew and Giuliana of Catania, Italy; his aunts, Catherine Green, Ann Nelson and Rebecca Burleson; uncles, Ken Sitton and J.B. Wall; grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Duane Alcorn of Lake Jackson; and numerous cousins, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Patrick and Jean Doyle and Kenneth and Bobbie Ruth Sitton.

The family will receive friends tonight at Freeport-Lakewood Funeral Chapel from 6 until 8. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lakewood with burial in Marshall, Texas, at Algoma Cemetery at 1 p.m. Thursday.
