EDWARDS — Charles P. “Charlie” Horton died Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Jackson. He was 66.

Mr. Horton was preceded in death by his father, Joseph C. Horton; his mother, Elizabeth Horton; two sisters, Annie B. Allen and Mary Cotton; a brother, Andy Horton; and his grandparents, Percy Horton and Pearlie Knox Horton.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Horton of Ladson, S.C.; six daughters, Diana Fowler of Dallas, La’Shon Horton of Ladson, La’Tasha Horton of Summerville, S.C., Chay Horton of Charleston, S.C., and Chay D’asia Horton and Brianna Horton, both of Bolton; a son, Antonio D. Williams of Chicago; two sisters, Joanna Eaton of Chicago and Thelma McGregor of Edwards; one brother, Arthur J. Horton of Berwyn, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
