GARY, Ind. — Services for Gertrude Pearl “Sister” Nash, formerly of Vicksburg, were April 9, 2009, at Koinonia Baptist Church in Gary, Ind., with the Rev. Levern Swain Sr. officiating.

Mrs. Nash died Friday, April 3, 2009. She was 66.

She had lived in Gary for 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Booker T. Nash Sr.; her mother, Mattie Bell Gross; and her father, Harrison Gross Sr.

Survivors include four sons, Booker T. Nash Jr., Kevin Nash, David Nash and Johnny Nash; one daughter, Alisa Nash; three brothers, Charles Gross, James Gross and Earl Turner; three sisters, Brenda Gross, Sandra Gross and Mary Thomas; her stepmother, Julia Gross; 12 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
