CLINTON, N.C.  — Services for Hardy Williams were April 21, 2009, at Olivet Institute Baptist Church with Regina Lucious, pastor, officiating.

Mr. Williams died Wednesday, April 15, 2009. He was 72.

Mr. Williams was born in Vicksburg and was a labor contractor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Ola Mae Thrasher Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Ola Williams; three sons, Hardy Lee Williams, Hardy Leon Williams and Stacey Lee Williams, all of Fort Pierce, Fla.; five daughters, Crystal Bennett of Clinton, N.C., Audrey Williams, Candice Williams, Tatricia Williams, all of Fort Pierce, and Latitia Buckins of Tampa; five brothers, R.B. Williams and the Rev. James Williams, both of Vicksburg, Larry Williams of Whiteville, N.C., Johnnie Lee Williams of Holyoke, Mass., and Bennie Williams of Orlando; four sisters, Mary McSwain of Portland, Martha Lee Lewis and Geneva Douglas, both of Vicksburg, and Maxcine Jones of Tallulah; 20 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
