The engagement of Erica Jamette Taylor to Denard Andre Wilson, both of Vicksburg, is announced today. The wedding will be at 5 p.m. June 27, 2009, at Wilsonwood Lodge. A reception will follow.

Miss Taylor is the daughter of the late Hattie M. Taylor and the late James E. Taylor. She is the granddaughter of the late Dennis Taylor Sr., the late Josie B. Taylor and the late Willie Ruth Butler.

Mr. Wilson is the son of Eva M. Hayward and Fred Holmes Jr., both of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late Caleb Wilson and the late Doris Wilson.

The bride-elect is a 1993 honor graduate of Warren Central High School, where she was a member of the FTA, Mu Alpha Theta, HOSA, Science Club and Student Council.

She received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology education and a Master of Arts degree in teaching and secondary education biology from Alcorn State University. She was a member of the ASU Ambassadors and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.

Miss Taylor is a biology teacher at Warren Central High School.

The prospective groom is a 1991 graduate of Warren Central High School. He attended Jackson State University.

Mr. Wilson is store manager of Wendy’s in Winnsboro, La.
