A teen shot twice at an apartment in north Vicksburg Sunday was transferred to a Jackson hospital and reported to have “minor injuries,” said a Vicksburg police spokesman who declined to give any information about the victim or the circumstances of the shooting.

Sgt. Sandra Williams said the teen was taken by private vehicle to River Region Medical Center with wounds to a wrist and shoulder, and police were called there. The teen was transferred to University Medical Center.

The shooting was reported at 8:08 p.m. at Confederate Ridge Apartments on U.S. 61 North. No arrest had been made.
