Merle Edward Keck

LEBANON, Ohio — Merle Edward Keck, formerly of Vicksburg, died Tuesday, April 28, 2009. He was 89.
A resident of Lebanon, Ohio, Mr. Keck was born in Mount Vernon, Ind., to Oscar and Cora Aldrich Keck. He received his bachelor’s degree in engineering from Purdue University and retired from Westinghouse after 36 years.
He was a co-founder of the United Church of Christ Church of the Redeemer in Cleveland, Ohio, and was a member of IES-Illuminating Engineering Society for a number of years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred “Mickey” Grabeert Keck; a daughter, Kottra Keck; and a brother, Lloyd Keck.
He is survived by a son, Lyndon D. Keck of Portland, Maine; a daughter, Yana Keck of Cincinnati, Ohio; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at a later date under the direction of Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home in Lebanon.
