City man arrested on stolen motorcycle

A Vicksburg man was arrested Thursday afternoon for riding around on a stolen motorcycle.

Joseph Williams, 25, 1325 Jackson St., was arrested at 1:15 p.m. after a traffic stop on Lee and Washington streets and charged with possession of stolen property, said Lt. Bobby Stewart.

Williams is accused of riding a stolen Suzuki GSXR 600 motorcycle, which was reported missing April 30 from a home in the 500 block of Warriors Trail, said Stewart.

He was released on a $10,000 bond.

Generator, 42-inch TV among stolen items

Two residential burglaries and an auto burglary were reported in the city Thursday.

* Three Motorola cell phones valued at $250 each and a 4000-watt Honda generator valued at $3,600 were reported missing at 7:30 a.m. from a home in the 900 block of Wabash Avenue.

* A 42-inch flat-screen TV valued at $895 was reported missing at 1 this morning from a home in the 700 block of Grange Hall Road.

* Reported missing at 7:44 a.m. from a 2005 Dodge Caravan was $50.
