Jones, Miss Samanie recite vows March 7

Brian Michael Jones and Tara Danielle Samanie were married at 7 p.m. March 7, 2009, in the front garden at White Oak Plantation in Baton Rouge. Ken Carroll officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Tony Samanie of Houma, La., and Tina Meaux of Mandeville, La. She is the granddaughter of Floyd and Beatrice Samanie and Wickless and Margaret Dupre, all of Houma.
The groom is the son of Ronnie and Marilyn Jones of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of Bettie Cox of West Monroe, La., and Dolores Jones of Monroe.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were brown and gold.
Stanley Masinter, bagpiper, performed selections for the ceremony.
Maid of honor was Tori Samanie of Baton Rouge. Bridesmaids were Kristin Blair of Gonzales, La., and Lauren Hatter of Covington, La.
Brian Formby of Orlando, Fla., served as best man. Groomsmen were Keegan Roberts and David Millet, both of Baton Rouge.
A reception followed in the ballroom and outside gardens at the plantation.
Guests were entertained with music by DJ Greg Polowski.
The couple will take a wedding trip this summer.
The bride is employed at St. Amant High School, and the groom is employed at the Baton Rouge Police Department.
Shower
Karen Guidry, Vanessa Whipple, Estelle Bonvillain, Luella Antill, Margaret Dupre and Darlene Dupre honored the bride with a miscellaneous shower at the Darlene Dupre home.
