Willie ”Phillip” Kuhn

Willie “Phillip” Kuhn died Friday May, 8, 2009, at his home in Vicksburg. He was 68.
Born and raised in the Benton, Miss., area, Mr. Kuhn was a well-known retired painter, paperhanger and sandblaster for the Nappier Family Paint Companies for 40-plus years. He was well-known and loved by everyone he met, and will always be remembered as a loving and caring family man. He was a member of the Solid Rock Pentecostal Church.
Mr. Kuhn was preceded in death by his father, Willie “Amon” Kuhn; mother, Jesse Mae Eubanks; and sister, Joyce Faye Thrasher.
Survivors include his wife, Dollie Davis Kuhn of Vicksburg; three daughters, Phyllis May and husband, David, Amelia Roberts and husband, Kenny, and MaryLynn Brown and husband, Ronnie, all of Vicksburg; a sister, Gloria Katonia of Memphis; a brother, Nathaniel Kuhn of Vicksburg; five grandchildren, Kevin Roberts, Jessica Roberts, Cpl. Ronnie Brown Jr. and wife Liz, Christopher Brown and Butch Phillip Brown and fiance Kayla; two great-grandchildren, Tristan Brown and Ronnie Brown III. He is also loved and survived by numerous step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and his church family at Solid Rock Pentecostal Church. Special people remembered include Kim Cain, Bob McDuff, Thomas “Pete” Pendleton, Johnny and Wanda Thrasher and Patients Choice Hospice.
Services are 3 p.m. Monday at Glenwood Chapel in Vicksburg with Minister and Pastor Billy Talbert officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at Glenwood Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Roberts, Ronnie Brown Jr., Christopher Brown, Bob McDuff, Ricky Brown and Butch Phillip Brown.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Tuggle Jr., Barney Brown, Dr. Russell Barnes, Jabe Nappier, Freddy Schuler, Rodney Ransome, Jerry McDuff and Plezy Hasty.
Glenwood Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
