Bailess, Walters are married on March 14

Oren DeVaughn Bailess III and Courtney Renee Walters were married at 6 p.m. March 14, 2009, at First United Methodist Church in Dallas with the Revs. Kathryn Ransdell and Glen Schmucker of San Antonio officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Gail and Dr. Greg Walters of Siloam Springs, Ark. She is the granddaughter of June and Clyde Swint of Siloam Springs, the late Janis McDonald of Lenexa, Kan., and the late Lloyd Harold Walters of Wichita, Kan.

The groom is the son of Virginia and Lance Boswell of Marble Falls, Texas, and the late Oren DeVaughn Bailess Jr. of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of Betty and Oren DeVaughn Bailess Sr. of Vicksburg and the late Lucille and Owen Kennedy of Marble Falls.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Nuptial music was presented by Diane Fisher, pianist; and Radu Cernat, vocalist and violinist.

Matron of honor was Ashley Salter, sister of the bride, of Conway, Ark. Bridesmaids were Lindsey Lawrence, Elizabeth Butler and Megan Meggers, all of Fayetteville, Ark.; Holly Davidson of Jonesboro, Ark.; and Kelsey Haley and Emily Haley, cousins of the bride, of Van Buren, Ark.

Flower girl was Chloe Bailess, niece of the groom, of Vicksburg.

The groom’s grandfather served as best man. Groomsmen were Brett Bailess of Oxford and Jason Bailess of Vicksburg, brothers of the groom; Ryan Parker of Dallas; Albert Leyva of Houston; Brian Nokes of Venice, Calif.; and Ben Ray of Boston.

Ring bearer was Wesley Bailess, nephew of the groom, of Vicksburg.

Seating guests were Chris Nasif and Les Newton, both of Vicksburg, John Morgan Mims of Meridian and Logan Clark of Marble Falls, all cousins of the groom.

Reader was Carolyn Ivery.

A reception followed at the Belo Mansion in Dallas.

Guests were entertained with music by Special Edition.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to St. Lucia. They will make their home in Plano, Texas.

The bride is a first-grade teacher in Dallas, and the groom is a district manager at Abercrombie & Fitch.
