Two teams sit atop the leaderboard at annual BancorpSouth 2-Man Scramble after one day on the hilly layout of Vicksburg Country Club.
The two-man team of Mike Curtis and Todd Boolos and the pair of Louis Lambiotte and Jake Dornbusch tied for first with a pair of 9-under 61s and will be the final pairing on the tournament’s final day.
Just behind them, tied for second, were the teams of Bob Houser and Paul Loyacono and the pair of Russ Hawkins and Sid Neal. Both teams are just one shot out of first with identical 8-under 62s.
Five other teams are within four shots of the lead going into today’s final round on Vicksburg Country Club, a par-70 layout.
The annual tournament boasted 56 teams and is played in the two-man scramble format with a championship flight and five lower flights.
Play resumes today starting at 8:30 a.m. as Flight 5 tees off. The Championship Flight will hit the course starting at 12:10 p.m.
The leading teams of Curtis and Boolos and Lambiotte and Dornbusch will be the final group to hit the course, as both teams will tee off at 12:50 p.m.
In a 2-man scramble format, after each shot, the better of the two shots is selected and both players play from that position, until the ball is holed. One score is awarded for each pairing.
