James Arthur Hall

James Arthur Hall died Thursday, June 4, 2009. He was 47.

A lifelong resident of Vicksburg, he was a 1981 graduate of Warren Central High School and attended Belhaven College. He retired from the U.S. Government-Corps of Engineers.

Mr. Hall was a past member of the Vicksburg Jaycees and was a member of the Vicksburg Lions Club. He was a member of Goodrum Baptist Church, where he served on numerous committees and operated the church sound system.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Carpenter Hall of Vicksburg; two sons, Jeffrey Darren Hall and Lance Hunter Hall, both of Vicksburg; his parents, Eugene W. and Betty Riordan Hall of Vicksburg; three brothers, Dan Wood Hall of Vicksburg, Todd Hall of Clinton and William Hall of Ferriday, La.; 21 foster children; and nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Goodrum Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Pennock, pastor, officiating. Visitation will be at the church Saturday from 9 a.m. until the service. Riles Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dane Davenport, Steve Roland, Terry Lee, Mike Carpenter, Andy Whitehead, Woody Whitehead, Colby Ashley, Josh Reeves, Jay Hall, Tommy Carr, Debbie Flowers, Darrell Brown and the members of Goodrum Baptist Church.
