Vicksburg man jailed for felony gun possession

A Vicksburg man was being held without bond at the Vicksburg Police Department this morning on charges of possessing a handgun by a felon.
David Dillon, 28, 1110 Fayette St., was arrested at 6:04 p.m. Tuesday, said Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart.
Dillon was arrested after police responded to a dispute in the 2700 block of Alcorn Drive, during which Dillon had been seen displaying a handgun during an argument with his sister, said Stewart. No injuries were reported.
Dillon was convicted of possession of cocaine in 2005, said Stewart.
Four in county jail on court violations
Four Vicksburg men were in the Warren County Jail this morning, each on a Drug Court penalty.
Arrested Tuesday night and being held without bond were Louis Taylor, 22, 601 Locust St.; Michael Robinson, 22, 1508 Ethel St.; Payton Lipe, 22, 4618 Nailor Road; and Spencer Griffin, 19, 1929 Baldwin Ferry Road.
Details were not available.
Yard tools hot in city, county
Yard tools were reported missing at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the 1700 block of East Avenue.
A Redmax backpack leaf blower valued at $450 and Redmax weed trimmer valued at $400 were missing from a trailer parked at the home
Redmax tools were also missing in the county.
A weed trimmer valued at $374 and a blower valued at $499 were reported missing at 10:27 a.m. Tuesday from a home in the 1200 block of Thompson Lake Road. Also reported stolen were a generator, two butane tanks and two gasoline jugs.
Purse, contents taken from car on Wisconsin
An auto burglary was reported in the city Tuesday.
A purse, containing $12 and other contents, was reported missing at 5:44 p.m. from a 2000 Toyota Camry that had been parked in the 3600 block of Wisconsin Avenue.
