Memorial visitation for Hugh Grady Thompson will be from 2 until 5 p.m. Friday at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home.

Mr. Thompson, age 59, a native of Monroe, La., and a resident of Vicksburg, passed away after a short battle with cancer at Oak Haven Nursing Home in Centerpoint, La., on Sunday.

He was employed by Ameristar Casino in Vicksburg and served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1972.

Survivors include his daughter, Sarah Thompson Coke and husband David of Centerpoint; and two grandchildren, Lilly and Brian of Centerpoint; and a little blessing on the way. He was also survived by his best canine friend, Dodger.
