Second arrest made in Town and Country burglary

A second suspect has been arrested in a business burglary reported Friday at Town and Country Lounge, 3351 N. Washington St., said Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart.
Charles D. White, 32, 45 Falk Steel Road., was arrested at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday at his home. Witnesses told police White had fled the scene, Stewart said.
Arrested less than two hours after the burglary was Tyler Smith, 51, of 3105 N. Washington St. He remained in the Warren County Jail on a $35,000 bond. White was being held without bond.
Missing from the business were a 37-inch Vizio flat-screen TV valued at $647, 20 bottles and 12 cans of Bud Light Beer.
City man charged in sexual battery
A Vicksburg man was in the Warren County Jail this morning, charged with sexual battery.
Cedric Lyons, 27, 375 Glass Road, was arrested at 11:59 a.m. Wednesday, said Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace. Lyons is accused of having sexual relations with a minor under 13.
He was held without bond.
Bad checks charge lands one in jail
A Vicksburg man was in the Warren County Jail this morning, accused of passing bad checks.
Jesse McGruder, 46, 2907 Arcadia Place, was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with felony false pretense and two counts of felony bad checks, said Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace.
He was held without bond.
City man accused in statutory rape
A Vicksburg man was in the Warren County Jail this morning, accused of statutory rape.
David Bernard Minor, 25, 108 Second St., surrendered Wednesday afternoon, said Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart.
Minor is accused of having a sexual relationship with a minor under 16. He was held on a $30,000 bond.
Vicksburg man faces charges in Hattiesburg
A Vicksburg man, arrested Wednesday on a misdemeanor shoplifting charge at Pemberton Square mall, is being held for Hattiesburg police after local authorities found he is accused of two armed robberies there, said Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart.
Max Deshun Armstrong, 31, 40 Clay St., faces charges in armed robberies reported April 22 and May 8. In the first, he is accused of robbing a victim at gunpoint and taking a purse. In the latter, he is accused of robbing a victim of a cell phone, $50 and a Chevy Impala. The car was found, Stewart said.
Armstrong was expected to be picked up by Hattiesburg police today.
