Vicksburg Warren School District trustees agenda items

Meeting Thursday, Vicksburg Warren School District trustees:
• Approved minutes of May 21.
• Accepted donations of $50 from Good Samaritan Physical Therapy to benefit the Vicksburg Junior High School girls’ basketball team and $100 from the Beulah Cemetery Restoration Committee for Vicksburg High School’s Project Image.
• Accepted May 31 financial reports of Dale McClung, finance director.
• Approved amendments to budgeted revenues and expenditures for the 2008-2009 budget.
• Approved accounts payable claims docket.
• Approved various personnel matters including compensation for extra duty, certified personnel recommendations, salary schedules, certified personnel change in status, substitute teachers, summer employees and classified employees.
• Approved out-of-state travel requests for in-service training from the Warren Central High School ROTC and Navy JROTC, Vicksburg Intermediate School math teachers and district speech pathologists.
• Approved an updated procurement plan for the Child Nutrition program.
• Acknowledge that no firm bids were received in the May 26 diesel fuel bid opening, and instructed the district to purchase diesel fuel in the same manner as in previous years, from lowest-priced vendors on an ongoing, as-needed basis.
• Approved surplus capital assets proposed for disposal by the Child Nutrition program. The items were no longer of any use or value to the district.
• Accepted bids for fishing and hunting leases on 16th Section land that were opened June 19.
• Accepted a Sanitation and Safety Training Service bid.
• Accepted a proposed revision to the district’s wellness policy.
• Approved a Resolution of Assurances required for the application for Qualified School Construction Bond.
