Walterine J. Wildee

Walterine J. Wildee died Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at her home. She was 72.

Mrs. Wildee was a member of Travis Chapel A.M.E. Church, where she served on the mother’s board. A lifelong resident of Vicksburg, she retired from GNB Battery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Gertrude Johnson; two sisters, Lee Ester Winters and Johnnie B. Taylor; and four brothers, Volney Winters, Willie H. Winters, Eddie Johnson and Henry Winters.

Survivors include three sons, Lester Lydell Johnson of Tulsa, Okla., James Wildee Jr. of Vicksburg and Roderick Earl Johnson of Pine Bluff, Ark.; Shirley Ann Williams and Senobia Faye Bunch, both of Vicksburg; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Clarence Winters Sr. of Portland, Ore.; and other relatives and friends.

Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
