Purvis and Pampley to recite vows Sept. 5

Donald and Yvonne Purvis of Jackson announce the engagement of their daughter, Chevonne Antionette of Flowood, to Mack Charles Pampley III, also of Flowood. Mr. Pampley is the son of Fran Pampley and the late Mack Pampley Jr. of Vicksburg.

Miss Purvis is the granddaughter of Lola Crawley and Annie Battle, both of Jackson.

Mr. Pampley is the grandson of Sadie Pampley of Vicksburg and Janet Hartman of Chambersburg, Pa.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Wingfield High School, where she was named Prom Queen and was a member of the National Honor Society, Not Here Club and Junior Achievement.

She attended Jackson State University.

Miss Purvis is employed at East Lakeland Ob-Gyn & Associates, Baptist Medical Clinic.

The prospective groom is a 1999 graduate of Warren Central High School, where he played football and was a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, FBLA and Student Council.

He attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where he served as vice president of the Mu Xi chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity. He was a leadership scholar and a member of Lambda Sigma honor society.

Mr. Pampley is employed at Warren Yazoo Mental Health.

The wedding will be at 5 p.m. Sept. 5, 2009, at Word and Worship in Jackson. A reception will follow at the Mississippi e-Center.
