Three city men held in burglary

Three Vicksburg men were in the Warren County Jail this morning held without bond on charges of auto burglary and grand larceny.

Jeffery Langston, 20, 800 Hickory St., Timothy McKnight, 19, 420 Elmwood St., and Terry Williams, 18, 113 Starlight Drive, were booked just after midnight Sunday morning.

They were charged with breaking into a Chevrolet 4-wheel drive truck at Lee Road and Indiana Avenue, said Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace.

 A stereo and electronic equipment of unknown value were reported taken from the truck. Also recovered were items not from the Chevrolet.

“We’re going to look back at our records and city records to see if we can match up any of the items,” said Pace.

$350 missing at home on Martin Luther King

About $350 in cash was reported missing from a house in the 1700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at 6:45 p.m. Friday Vicksburg Police Capt. Mark Culbertson said.

CD player, gun among missing items

A Panasonic CD player valued at $150, a Cobra radar detector and a 9 mm handgun valued at $300 were reported missing from a 1992 Buick in the 700 block of U.S. 61 North at 11:01 p.m., Sunday Vicksburg Police Capt. Mark Culbertson said.
