Ethel Mae Jones

Ethel Mae Jones died Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at her home. She was 61.

Born in Vicksburg, Mrs. Jones was employed for 15 years at Vicksburg Hospital in the laundry department. She was a member and usher at Mount Pisgah M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Jackson; and her stepfather, Theodore Cooksey.

She is survived by her husband, Eddie Lee Jones of Vicksburg; two sons, Ellis Lee Jones and Eddie Lee Rollins, both of Vicksburg; three daughters, Corrine Williams and Jessica McWhorter Banks, both of Vicksburg, and Johnnie B. Ware of Dallas; her mother, Katie Mae Cooksey of Vicksburg; four brothers, Charlie Stevenson and Leslie Brown, both of Vicksburg, Anthony Cooksey of Tennessee and John Henry Rollins of Yonkers, N.Y.; two sisters, Mable Miller and Demmer Freeman, both of Vicksburg; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
