House shot, stove missing on First

A Whirlpool stove valued at $499 was reported missing from a house in the 200 block of First Avenue Tuesday at 10:23 a.m.

At the same house, several windows had been shot out with a BB gun, causing about $140 in damage, said Vicksburg Police Sgt. Douglas King.

A U-Haul tow dolly valued at $1,500 was reported missing from Tri-State Tire, 2209 Washington St., Tuesday at 8:33 a.m., said Vicksburg Police Sgt. Douglas King.

In another city theft, a 26-inch Toshiba flat-screen TV valued at $1,200, a Dell computer valued at $1,200, two 8-inch Studio monitors valued at $600, a microphone valued at $25 and a leaf blower valued at $100 were reported missing from a house in the 1700 block of Vicklan Street Tuesday at 1:22 p.m., King said.

Burglary, attempt reported in county

One attempted burglary and a burglary were reported in the county Tuesday.

An unidentified man broke into a house in the 2000 block of Jeff Davis Road at 10:05 a.m. The owner was at the house when the suspect came in the back door and left. No items were reported missing.

Separately, a Fluke voltmeter valued at $350 and various hand tools valued at $150 were reported missing from a truck in the 200 block of Culkin Road at 3:09 p.m.
