Willie M. Neal died Monday, July 6, 2009, at Heritage House. She was 80.

Mrs. Neal was a native of Green County. She had lived most of her life in Vicksburg. She was a member of the Church of God and served as Sunday school treasurer for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Neal; a brother; two sisters; her parents, W.M. and Addie Lee Mitchum Carlisle; and a grandchild.

Survivors include her two sons, Melvin Pugh of Sarasota, Fla. and Gene Neal of Vicksburg; two sisters, Nora Gibson and Myrtle Newel, both of Alabama; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. George Farris and David Case officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Thursday until the hour of the service.

Pallbearers will be Eric Neal, David Jabour, Greg Vaughn, John Moorhead, Donnell Youngblood and Charles Woodruff.
