Selmon elected to state board

Warren County District 3 Supervisor Charles Selmon has been named second vice president of the Mississippi Association of Supervisors.

He was elected to the post during the association’s annual convention June 15-18 in Biloxi.

Selmon has been a member of the Warren County Board of Supervisors since 1996. He has a bachelor’s degree in social work and a master’s in counseling psychology from Mississippi College.

He and his wife, Fredia Selmon, have twin daughters, Alyshia and Tericka.

Old Court House has new assistant chief

A Vicksburg man has been named assistant director of the Old Court House Museum-Eva W. Davis Memorial.

Jeffrey Hunter Coleman was appointed to the job by the Vicksburg and Warren County Historical Society’s board of directors. The society operates the museum.

Coleman, who has worked at the museum for three years, will assist George C. “Bubba” Bolm, director and curator.

Coleman is the son of Steve H. Coleman and Becky Alford Fuson. He attends Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church, is a graduate of Vicksburg High School and attended Hinds Community College.
