A Vicksburg man and woman were taken to a hospital after their cars were in a wreck on North Washington Street just north of Haining Road Wednesday.
A black 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass, driven by Willie Curry Jr., and a green 2002 Mitsubishi Galant, driven by Victoria Jackson, both 21, collided as Curry tried to pass two vehicles, Vicksburg Police Officer Curtis Judge said.
Jackson, 130 King St., was attempting to turn onto Hutson Street at about 3:53 p.m., Judge said.
Curry, 3505 Washington St., attempted to miss Jackson’s car, causing his vehicle to lose a wheel, and his car flipped “two to three times” and ejected him, Officer Marketa Braxton said.
Both drivers were taken to River Region Medical Center, which did not return calls seeking condition reports.
The third vehicle and its driver were not identified.
