The engagement of Cherice Nicole “Nikki” Irwin to Brandon Leon Daffron Sr., both of Vicksburg, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged in a private ceremony at 2 p.m. Oct. 30, 2009. A reception will be held at a later date.

Miss Irwin is the daughter of Edward Sr. and Betty Hoover of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Steed and the late Minnie Irwin, all of Vicksburg, and the late George McBride of Yazoo City.

Mr. Daffron is the son of Martin and Francis Daffron of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late Margret and Thomas Daffron of Flora and the late J.W. and Doris Richardson of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Warren Central High School, where she was a member of the National Art Honor Society. She is self-employed.

The prospective groom attended Warren Central High School and is a carpenter for Johnny Lowery General Contractors.
