Odell Tillman died Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab in Clinton. He was 67.

Mr. Tillman was born in Learned, Miss., and was a retired construction worker and self-employed truck driver. He was of the Methodist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom T. and Burdette Flagg Tillman; brothers, Larry Tillman and George Albert Tillman; sisters, Mildred Tillman and Clara Ann Tillman.

Survivors include his sons, Cardell Tillman and Dwayne Tillman, both of Pittsburg, and Preston Tillman of Milwaukee; daughters, Marithia Tillman Waters of Rantoule, Ill., and Shalondra Tillman of Milwaukee; brothers, Horace T. Tillman and Rayford Tillman, both of Edwards, Perry Tillman of Centreville, Va., and Martin Tillman Burks of Bronx, N.Y.; sister, Zolda Tillman Brown of Detroit.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sam Lee Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Poplar Grove Cemetery in Utica.
