Dogs hot item in city, county thefts over weekend

Pit bull puppies were the hot items in thefts reported in the city and county during the weekend.
In the county, 10 pups valued at $500 each were reported stolen from the backyard of a residence in the 100 block of Quinola Lane Saturday at 6:29 p.m.
In the city, a puppy valued at $200 was reported stolen from a residence in the 1100 block of Second North Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
It was not known if the puppy pilfers were related.
In other thefts:
• Also from the Second North Street home, a 42-inch LG plasma television valued at $1,500 was reported missing.
• A 32-inch LG LCD television valued at $800, a CD player and speakers valued at $2,130 and an Xbox 360 game console valued at $150 were reported stolen from a residence in the 70 block of Erves Lane Friday at 12:03 p.m., county records showed.
• A fully loaded .38-caliber revolver of unknown make and $33 were reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Sammy Young Road Saturday at 4:24 p.m.
• A Sony radio valued at $50 was missing from a home in the 100 block of Falk Steel Road Friday at 8:22 a.m.
• A Phillips 32-inch TV valued at $500 was reported stolen from a home in the 100 block of Athens Avenue Sunday at 6:55 p.m.
• A Lennox air conditioner valued at $1,200 was reported stolen in the 700 block of Porters Chapel Road today at 6:17 a.m.
• A wallet valued at $15 and containing $30 was reported stolen from a 1998 Ford Escort in the 100 block of Warrenton Road today at 6:55 a.m.
City man charged in domestic violence
A Vicksburg man was arrested for third-offense domestic violence Sunday at 3:41 a.m., Vicksburg Police Lt. Bobby Stewart said today.
James T. Ward, 30, 1502 Spring St., was charged with assaulting his sister, Stewart said. The woman did not require treatment.
Ward was being held on $30,000 bond in the Warren County Jail.
City man held for third DUI
A Vicksburg man charged with third-offense driving under the influence was in Issaquena County Jail this morning.
Charles Adams, 36, 1040 Urban Court, was stopped at Clay and Cherry streets Friday at 9:05 p.m., police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.
Adams was being held on $15,000 bond.
Three people injured in three wrecks
Three people were injured in wrecks reported in the city and county over the weekend.
A Delta, La., woman was injured Friday at 10:32 p.m. after being involved in a two-vehicle wreck near U.S. 80 and Mississippi 27. Rebecca Brent, 19, street address unavailable, was taken to River Region Medical Center. No further information about the wreck or the other driver was available.
A one-vehicle rollover was reported Saturday at 11:42 a.m. near 1612 Mission 66. Injured was Randall Allen, 27, 1323 Jackson St., who was taken to RRMC. No information about the wreck was available.
Another one-vehicle rollover was reported Sunday at 8:26 p.m. at 4398 Lee Road. Jeremy Renfroe, 21, 1637 Boy Scout Road, said he lost control of his 2009 Chevrolet pickup, hit a concrete mailbox and flipped several times before coming to rest in a ditch. He was cited for driving with a suspended license and driving without proof of insurance, and taken to RRMC.
River Region did not return calls for condition reports for the three.
