Lawrence Spratley died Sunday, July 19, 2009, at Covenant Health & Rehab of Vicksburg. He was 97.

Mr. Spratley was a member of Mount Olive Church, Villa Nova.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite Parker Spratley; his parents, Thomas Spratley and Carrie Pearson; four brothers, Pete Spratley, Willie Spratley, George Spratley and Walter Spratley; and four sisters, Louise Spratley Marley, Bertha Spratley Owen, Fannie Spratley Howell and Edna Spratley Grant.
