SEC television schedule released|College football

Television coverage for the Southeastern Conference football season was released on Wednesday during Media Days in Hoover, Ala. Only the first three weeks of the season were announced, as well as a handful of nationally televised games later in the year.

Mississippi State will open the season against Jackson State on Sept. 5 at 2:30 p.m. on ESPNU. The Bulldogs are scheduled to play Auburn on Sept. 12 at 6 p.m. on Fox Sports Net South. The Sept. 19 game at Vanderbilt also will be televised by Fox Sports Net South at 6 p.m.

Ole Miss opens the season on Sunday, Sept. 6, against the University of Memphis in the Liberty Bowl, with kickoff set for 2:30 and to be telecast by ESPN. The home opener for Houston Nutt’s Rebels will be on Saturday, Sept. 19, against the Lions of Southeastern Louisiana.  Kickoff at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium will be at 6:30 and will be televised by CSS.

ESPN will also televise the Rebels when they play at South Carolina on Thursday, Sept. 24.  Kickoff at Williams-Brice Stadium is set for 6:30.
