Herman Anthony Finnegan

ROSE HILL  — Herman Anthony Finnegan died Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Forrest General in Hattiesburg. He was 79.

Mr. Finnegan was born in Rose Hill and was a veteran of the Navy. He was of the Roman Catholic faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James L. and Cyrillus O’Flynn Finnegan; and siblings, Johnnie, Willie, Annie May (Sister Melanie), Lawrence Roy, Charlie, Thomas, Joseph, Marguerite and Pat.

Survivors include his daughter, Tina Warren of Atlanta; three sisters, Velma Boswell of Rose Hill, Mary Teresa (Sister Teresa) of Vicksburg and Martha Rose Burns of Hattiesburg.

A funeral Mass was said today at St. Michael’s Church in Paulding, Miss., with Father Ken Ramon-Landry officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs in charge of arrangements.
