Court report|Five sentenced in circuit court

In Warren County Circuit Court during the week ending Friday:

• Stafford Chambers, 40, 5116 Gibson Road, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence, third offense, and was sentenced by Judge M. James Chaney to enroll in the Drug Court Program for a period not to exceed five years, plus fines of $2,822.50. Chambers was arrested Feb. 14.

• Richard Daumer, 30, 114 Bering St., was found guilty of violating probation and was sentenced by Chaney to one year in prison followed by three years of probation, plus restitution and fines totaling $3,072.50. Daumer was arrested June 12, 2008, for auto theft.

• Douglas Lurnell Howard, 43, 1603 Military Ave., was found guilty of violating probation and was sentenced by Chaney to complete the Mississippi Department of Corrections’ Extended Drug and Alcohol Treatment Program and, following that, to an MDOC restitution center to pay $2,506.44 in restitution and fines in arrears. Howard was arrested March 22, 2007, for possession of burglar’s tools and malicious mischief.

• Damean DePaul Patterson, 32, 101 Ruby Lane, pleaded guilty to grand larceny and was sentenced by Judge Isadore Patrick to three years of probation plus $1,372.50 in fines. Patterson was arrested Dec. 7.

• Terry Smith, 19, 210 Winters Lane, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine and was sentenced by Patrick to 321 days in jail followed by five years of probation, plus $1,322.50 in fines. Smith was arrested Sept. 5.
