The engagement of Tracy Renee Gordon and John Austin Hood IV, both of Vicksburg is announced today.

Miss Gordon is the daughter of Keith and Mary Gordon of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Rudolph Taylor, the late Mammie Taylor and the late W.K. and Sue Gordon, all of Covington, Tenn.

Mr. Hood is the son of John and Therese Hood of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of Pete and Gloria Hood of Madison and Anthony and Josephine Frey of Glen Allan, Miss.

The bride-elect attended Porters Chapel Academy. She received an allied arts degree in liberal arts from Hinds Community College.

Miss Gordon is a teller with Britton & Koontz Bank.

The prospective groom attended St. Aloysius High School. He received a bachelor of science forest management from Mississippi State University.

Mr. Hood is a hydraulic technician with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The wedding will be at 1 p.m. Sept. 26, 2009, at Highland Baptist Church. A reception will follow. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
