Strong-armed robbery reported at Bowmar, Washington

A strong-armed robbery was reported Sunday night at Bowmar Avenue and Washington Street, said Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.
Four men took a woman’s wallet, containing $50, and fled north on Washington at 8:35 p.m. Sunday, the police report said.
The victim’s nose was broken, said Stewart. She was treated and released from River Region Medical Center, a hospital spokesman said.
Horses among things missing in Vicksburg
Two horses were among items reported stolen to Vicksburg police over the weekend, said Lt. Bobby Stewart.
• A 1-year-old colt and 2-year-old colt with red bodies and white faces, valued at $3,000 each, were reported missing at 1:30 p.m. Friday from a home in the 1000 block of Standard Hill Road.
• A 5-gallon gas can valued at $5, gas valued at $15 and an Igloo ice chest valued at $25 were reported stolen at 5:40 a.m. today from 2001 Chevrolet Z71 pickup parked in the 1300 block of Mulberry Street.
• A Red Max weed trimmer valued at $300 and a Husqvarna leaf blower valued at $150 were reported stolen at 4:27 p.m. Sunday from a home storage room in the 300 block of Claremont Street.
• A Garmin GPS unit valued at $150 and a Glock 9 mm handgun valued at $400 were reported stolen at 1:58 p.m. Sunday from a 2001 Buick Century parked in the 100 Herrod Street.
• A CVA .50-caliber muzzle loader valued at $200 was reported stolen at 12:58 Sunday afternoon from a 1994 Ford Bronco parked in the 100 block of Briarwood Place.
• An LG cell phone valued at $300, a touch-screen iPod valued at $400 and $300 cash were reported stolen at 4:30 p.m. Friday from a 2008 Saturn parked in the 100 block of Maison Rue.
• A Hewlett Packard laptop computer valued at $800, a Wii video game console valued at $250, a Playstation PSP valued at $100 and an LG Blu-ray DVD player valued at $300 were reported stolen at 10:47 a.m. Friday from a home in the 100 block of Eastover Drive.
• DVDs valued at $50 were reported stolen at 10:30 a.m. Friday from a home in the 1200 block of South Street.
• An XBox 360 valued at $375 was reported stolen at 10:37 a.m. Thursday from a home in the 100 block of Athens Avenue.
Lawn equipment hot in county burglaries
Lawn care machinery was reported stolen in the county during the weekend, Warren County Sheriff’s Office records showed.
• A Cub-Cadet push mower, no value given, was reported stolen at 1:03 p.m. Sunday from a home in the 300 block of Culkin Road.
• A Cub-Cadet self-propelled push mower valued at $300 and a Ryobi weed trimmer valued at $100 were reported stolen at 10:38 p.m. Saturday from a home in the 1000 block of U.S. 80.
Four injured in weekend wrecks
Four people were taken to River Region Medical Center after weekend wrecks.
Nanci Donohue, 52, 608-B Rigby St., was treated and released after a one-car accident at North Frontage Road and Indiana Avenue at 3:46 p.m. Friday.
Sherry Bradley, 36, P.O. Box 1244, Fayette, and Robert Anderson, 44, and Jayline Anderson, 9, both of 4798 U.S.61 South, were treated and released after the car they were in Saturday hit a tree along Interstate 20, about 6 miles east of Vicksburg.
