Florine Shiers Burton died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009, at her home. She was 87.

Ms. Burton was born in Richton. She moved to Redwood at an early age and was of the Pentecostal faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Burton Sr.

Survivors include her four sons, Alex Shiers, Robert Shiers Jr., and Allen Shiers, all of Vicksburg, and Eddie Guy Shiers of Redwood; two daughters, Bernice Walley and Becky Adams, both of Vicksburg; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Marvin Curtis officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the service at Fisher Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be James Shiers Sr., Andy Freeny, Guy Shiers, Daniel Shiers, Jody Shiers, Sean Walley and Jay Boyd.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Warren County Sheriff’s Department.
