CANTON — Peggy H. Crosby died Friday, July 31, 2009, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. She was 77.

Mrs. Crosby was a native of Coosa. She was a retired teacher and had been the secretary at Sacred Heat Catholic Church in Canton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emerson Crosby; and her parents, Jesse and Viola Richarson Harrell.

Survivors include her three sons, Stephen Crosby and Michael Crosby, both of Canton, and Joseph Crosby of Blue Bell, Penn.; two daughters, Cheryl C. Roberts of Vicksburg and Bridget Crosby of San Diego; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Canton. Burial will follow at Canton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at Breeland Funeral Home in Canton with a Rosary following.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Canton Academy or Hospice Ministries.
