Jerry Wayne Beard II died Friday, Aug. 7, 2009. He was 26.

Born in Vicksburg, he was a graduate of Warren Central High School, class of 2001. Mr. Beard was an emergency medical technician with AMR in Jackson, Miss. He served with the Culkin Volunteer Fire Department and was a communicant of St. Paul Catholic Church. 

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Hilda McKay; paternal grandfather, James P. “Pat” Beard; and an uncle, Ronnie Beard.

He is survived by his parents, Jerry Wayne Beard and Susan Westcott Beard of Vicksburg; sister, Kelly Beard Lopez and her husband, Rafael, of Bourg La Reine, France; and paternal grandmother, Bobbie H. Beard of Vicksburg.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Riles Funeral Home with Father P.J. Curley, pastor of St. Michael Catholic Church, and the Rev. Ron Burch, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Riles Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Josh Alberts, Jordan Moll, Trey Smith, David Bonner, Michael Thames, Yancy Brewer, Nate Carter and Britt Shelley.

Honorary pallbearers will be the members of all stations of the Warren County volunteer firefighters.
