Lorraine Vines Tatum

NEWELLTON, La. — Lorraine Vines Tatum died Monday, Aug. 10, 2009, at Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro, La. She was 91.
Born in Wilkinson County, Mrs. Tatum had lived in Newellton, La., since she was 12 years old. She was a retired bookkeeper and letter carrier and was an outstanding seamstress and artist.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia A. Tatum Lowery of Burleson, Texas; one sister, Mary Elizabeth Vines Polk of Crowville, La.; a daughter-in-law, Linda Arnold Tatum of Newellton; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Newellton with the Rev. Dennis Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Legion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah.
Pallbearers will be Rob McNeely, Ryan McNeely, Justin Wren, Stan Polk, Lynn Vines, Rodney Cook and Jimmy Vines.
Honorary pallbearers will be Edwin Britt, Ralph Cooper, Jackie McClain, Bruce Tatum, Buddy Tatum and Bill Tatum.
