Mark Massie holds a 16.5-inch cucumber he grew in his yard on Wisteria Drive. The vegetable took about a month to grow. The world record for the longest cucumber was broken in July by Yitzhak Yazdanpana of Petah Tikva, Israel. The vegetable measured 46.5 inches. (Katie Carter*The Vicksburg Post)
