Huey Paul Walter Sr. died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009, at Promise Specialty Hospital. He was 71.

Born in Delhi, La., Mr. Walter had lived  in Vicksburg for the past 38 years. He was a cabinet setter in manufactured housing and was a member of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Paul Walter; his mother, Walter Mae Walter; a sister, Dorothy Hartzog; and stepsisters and stepbrothers.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Park Walter of Vicksburg; two sons, Huey Paul Walter Jr. and Bruce De-wayne Walter, both of Vicksburg; a stepson, Paul R. Park of Vicksburg; a stepdaughter, Paula Carol Milner of Malvern, Ark.; one brother, Duey Walter of Natchez; and three stepgrandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Jason McGuffie officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
