Rundhaug weds Chady at St. Michael Catholic

Robin Rundhaug and Carrie Elizabeth Chady were married at 3 p.m. July 18, 2009, at St. Michael Catholic Church. The Revs. P.J. Curley, James O’Riordan and Noel Prendergast and Monsignor Patrick Farrell officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Thomas F. Chady and the late Carol J. Chady of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Chady and Frances Andes and the late Albert Russell Andes, all of Louisville, Ky.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leif Erik Rundhaug of Alta, Norway. He is the grandson of Gerd Karlstrom and the late Einar Karlstrom of Langfjord, Norway, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Henrik Sedolf Rundhaug of Nord-Reisa, Norway.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were chocolate and dusty rose.

Music was presented by Pete Montalbano, soloist; Julia Blake, keyboardist; Michael Battalio, cellist; Rachel Clarke and Vincent Montalbano, violinists; and Joan Buglewicz, harmony vocalist. Madeline Thornton illuminated candles in memory of the bride’s mother and other deceased family members.

Maid of honor was Ginny Alise Furches of Murray, Ky. Matron of honor was Brandy Lane Wills of Cleveland, Miss.

Bridesmaids were Kine Johansen, Aina Johansen, Sofie Johansen and Elise Johansen, all of Tromso, Norway; Kyndel Elizabeth Andes and Haley Kathryn Andes, both of Georgetown, Ky.; Jennifer Lynne Mielke of Statesville, N.C.; and Jamie Lynn Sumrall of Vicksburg.

Kristian Kvernmo of Alta served as best man.

Groomsmen were Rene Rundhaug, Petter Bye, Dr. Tage Olsen and Brian Rundhaug, all of Alta; Steven Chase Sones, Evan Robert Goodnight and Adam Joseph Thornton, all of Vicksburg; Jonathan Andrew Lemmon of Columbia, Ky.; and Kjetil Karlstrom Aga of Hardanger, Norway.

Usher was Matthew Thomas Thornton of Vicksburg.

Flower girls were Rebecca Mae Hahn and Lily Goodnight, both of Vicksburg. Ring bearer was Charlie Edward Chady of Knoxville, Tenn.

Readers were Tom Setser and Else Karlstrom, aunt of the groom.

Madeline Anne Thornton served as proxy bride. Special wedding assistant was Beverly Piazza.

Serving as honorary mothers of the bride were Beverly Piazza, Suzanne Rottman and Joan Thornton.

A reception followed at the Rainbow Room. Guests were entertained with music by Riverwind.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to St. Maarten. They will make their home in Alta.

Rehearsal dinner

On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Jacques’ Cafe. The bride and groom chose this time to present gifts to their attendants.

Bridesmaids’ luncheon

The bride and her grandmother, Frances Andes, hosted a bridesmaids’ luncheon at Anchuca the day before the wedding.

Pre-wedding bash

The bridal couple and their parents hosted a pre-wedding bash for all extended family to meet. Assisting in catering were Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Robert, Lisa Evans and Lori Evans.

Announcement party

Mr. and Mrs. Mike Cappaert honored the bride and groom with an engagement announcement and cookout at their home.

Showers

Frances Andes, Jennifer Andes, Kyndel Andes, Haley Andes and Ginny Furches hosted an A-to-Z shower at the Andes home in Louisville, Ky.

Diane Wright, Dean and Tina Abney, Sam and Kellie Pierce, Brad and Leann Burleson honored the bride and groom with a couples shower at the Wright home.

The bride was honored with a miscellaneous shower at the Knights of Columbus home. Hostesses were Suzanne Rottman, Renea Setser, Bev Piazza, Joan Thornton, Lucy DeRossette, Avis Phillips, Jamie Sumrall, Lanette Sumrall, Alice Hebler, Susan Smith, Cheryl Roberts, Ginny Furches, Susan Chiarito and Lynn Boland.

Ginny Furches honored the bride with a lingerie shower at the home of Beverly Piazza.
