A Vicksburg man accused of throwing hot grease on a teen in a dispute over a television was arrested this morning.

The 16-year-old, Micah Andrews, initially was taken to River Region Medical Center and then flown to the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Ga., said Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart.

The teen was being treated for second- and third-degree burns to his face, neck, chest, arm and hands, Stewart said. A spokesman for the hospital this morning said Micah is in serious condition.

Arrested this morning while walking on Washington Street near Lee Street was Fadell Wilson, 46, 201 Springridge Drive. He was charged with aggravated assault against a teen and mayhem, Stewart said.

Wilson and Micah live in the same house on Springridge with Micah’s grandmother, who was not home during the assault but found the teen about 30 minutes after the 4:30 p.m. attack, Stewart said.

“The alleged dispute was over the TV,” Stewart said.

Wilson, who had left the house before Micah’s grandmother arrived home, was being held without bond at the Vicksburg Police Department pending his initial court hearing.
